Now that I've got the expansions and everything...I can play through my games completely, and I am enjoying the changes and additions the expansion packs have added. I guess some of us will need to wait for a patch, or ten, before it works. Be sure to pay attention to what ends up causing the problem, don't just leave them all turned off.

Happens to approximately 0.5% of users. Video card drivers, by contrast, can smash other parts of the OS, as can sound card drivers.
For some reason the fact that it's the only bug I've seen so far makes it all the more annoying... It's designed so that even 2 years from now, you can with mods plug in advanced textures. Included is the zip file with the logs. It may still be a video card problem, but would be along the lines of causing an illegal instruction or something - but even then Windows should be able to catch
